Nick & Taylor | Corvallis Engagement Photos

I am thrilled to finally be able to share this couple’s engagement session. I have had the privilege of getting to know Nick and Taylor over the past couple of years at Oregon State through Young Life. They are two of my favorite people to be around mostly because of the joy and laughter that they bring. They are incredible together, and their love for one another is so evident in how they live their lives and interact. Nick, oh so kindly, wrote a paragraph for me with a few things about him and Taylor and their story:

Love. The one thing in this world that is more precious than gold, or an all you can eat buffet. Nick and Taylor are the primetime example of love. Knowing one another since the 8th grade, they are completely aware and sensitive to everything about one another. For example, Nick knows that Taylor can’t go one day without brushing her teeth, and Taylor knows that Nick has a serious issue with the number of meals he eats in any given day. That is neither here nor there. After dating in high school for two years, breaking up for three, and then resurfacing their love for one another once in college, it is evident to the world that Nick and Taylor truly are the epitome of love. Having said that, Nick knew what needed to be done. Nick and Taylor woke up at the crack of Lucifer and drove to the Willamette waterfront to watch the sunrise. Once there, Nick asked the big question. Ever since then, they have embarked on a wedding planning frenzy of magnitude that only Poseidon himself would dream of. Awaiting the big day, Nick and Taylor are happier than ever, and ready to experience what God has in store for them, leaning on one another every step of the way.

Nick, Taylor and I were blessed with beautiful weather as we adventured around Peavy Arboretum in Corvallis for their engagement session. Sure was a fun time with them. Congrats Nick & Tay, love you guys!

Michael & Frances | Oregon Engagement Photos

I met Michael when I came to Oregon State a few years ago and his lovely bride-to-be not too long after. They are one sweet couple, and also one of the trendiest I know. Here’s their story:

We met just under two years ago at a YoungLife camp, Washington Family Ranch. Michael was on the program team, and his character was a villainous Harry Potter, and Frances was a cabin leader for a group of freshmen girls. We didn’t really talk much then, but upon returning home, we hung out in a large group of mutual friends and starting on the Sunday of that week, we ended up in all of the same places for thirteen days straight! Things unfolded from there, and we had our first date at Chapters in Newberg a month after we met. A month and a half after, we officially began dating, and after nine months of long distance, and then seven months in the same area, Michael proposed in a beautiful, romantic, and unforgettable way. Check out his video diary from the day here. We will be married on January 4, 2014!

We had a blast taking photos  in Wilsonville at the Water Treatment Plant and then at a wildlife refuge out in Sherwood. So excited for the two of you and what’s to come!

Wild Friends Nut Butter

Meet Keeley and Erika. Tthey are the co-owners of Wild Friends Nut Butter and two of my good friends from high school. They started Wild Friends out of their apartment in Eugene, OR a few years back and it has been so much fun to watch it grow and develop into one cool company.  Recently I did some new product shots for them as well as captured the essence of these two and their friendship. What fun it was to not only help with photographing their new branding, but also to catch up with old friends. If you haven’t heard of them already, go check out their website and buy some peanut or almond butter! (My favorites are the Honey Pretzel and Vanilla Espresso.) You won’t be disappointed! You can also check out their blog here.

Nike Maxim Awards

Way back in January I had the privilege to do some work with Nike and document their Nike Tech Maxim awards 2 day extravaganza. The first night was a formal banquet in Downtown Portland at Pure Space and then the following day was the award ceremony at The Stanford Theater on the Nike campus in Beaverton. It was a ton of work yet a ton of fun and such an incredible experience working with them. Thanks Nike Tech!

Long time, no blog

I cannot believe it’s been since January that I’ve shared any photos. It’s amazing how fast time flies when you’re in school. But now that the term is winding down and summertime is quickly approaching, I finally have some time to sit down and get everything updated. Be expecting lots of posts and photos to look at in the week to come. Now get off your computer and go enjoy this stunning Oregon weather we’ve been having!
